We don't usually close our Community Building Center days with a prayer, but if someone asks, we will. We invite anyone who wants to join us to join us, then we form a circle, hold hands, and pray to our creator.

The cameras are in for our Photovoice project, and our pictures will be ready for pick up tomorrow. RCI participants have spent the last two weeks taking photos that represent the story of their lives in Allentown. Stay tuned to hear the stories their photos tell!

We started a Photovoice project at the Community Building Center this week. If you aren't familiar with photovoice, it's a technique that allows people to tell their stories or address a common concern by taking photos, sharing the experiences captured in the photos, and, in some cases, collaborating for change.

We haven't been very good about posting pictures this summer, but that doesn't mean we haven't been busy. Our Community Building Center is now open on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and we have been filling our days with service projects with Community Exchange, working in the garden, sewing, making rugs, making comforters. We even ran a training on restorative practices.
